Peter’s Promise Ministry
Realizing the special needs that result from alcoholism and other addictions the Peter’s Promise Ministry seeks to create and sustain an environment where individuals and families can receive support and information that guides them toward the healing grace of God. This ministry also sponsors church-wide programs and workshops that assist in educating the community about addiction so that the corporate response to those in need is one of understanding, love, and support. Following the example of Jesus’ own ministry where no one was turned away we open our arms to any and all in need and by doing so strengthen the healing that takes place within the Smyrna First UMC community.
Visiting Friends is a group of dedicated laity that has committed to reach out to those in our church family who are sick, suffering, in the hospital or home-bound. They assist the Pastors in making in-person calls, sending cards, and delivering flowers to those who are in need. For Inquiries Contact: Jessica Cady at email@example.com.
Care Notes are publications that are available to the church family that are directed towards certain life crises, sickness, grief, etc, and are available for both adults and children. Located in the Welcome Center, these publications are free of charge and we encourage you to take what you need for yourself or someone you know.
