Meet the StaffStuart Greene, Senior PastorMy wife Becky and I came to Smyrna First in July 2004. I have I am passionate about nurturing existing Christians in the church, but also sharing Christ with those outside the Church who have yet to discover the transforming love of God. Becky has a heart for sharing her faith with others, particularly women. Becky and I have three grown sons (Tucker, Tim, and Tyler) and one grandson (Landon). When we aren’t at the church we enjoy spending time with our kids, taking walks on the Silver Comet Trail and relaxing with a good book. Our home phone is 770-432-9141. Some areas of ministry in which I am involved include teaching, lay caregiving, and missions. As a Stephen Leader I had the privilege several years ago of being a part of “birthing” Stephen Ministry at Smyrna First. It is a joy to help others discover their gifts for ministry. I am currently serving as the Chairperson of the Atlanta-Marietta District Committee on Ordained Ministry and as a member of the North Georgia Annual Conference Board of Ordained Ministry. My husband Joey has been the Senior Pastor at Faith UMC since July 2002. As a clergy couple, It is my hope that as we travel together on our faith journey, God will bless us to be a blessing to others!

been in ministry for 28 years, and I am a “third-generation” Methodist pastor. My emphasis during my ministry has been preaching and teaching, evangelism, and church growth. Prior to my appointment to Smyrna, I served as Senior Pastor of several congregations in the North Georgia Conference, was Founding Pastor of Mountain View UMC, and have served as President of the United Methodist Council on Evangelism.
