Dear Parents,

We hope you will consider being part of the Children’s Music Ministry at First United Methodist Church of Smyrna for the school year 2008 – 2009.

These are the things you need to know, short & to the point!

Please refer to the room #’s and bring
your singers to the appropriate room.

K5, Pre-1st, 1st Grade	Sonshine Singers	Room 601
Grades 2 & 3	HIS Kids	Room 605
Grades 4-6	Tomorrow’s Promise	Room 603

(All rooms are on the second level above the Welcome Center. Please take your child to the appropriate room.)

New this fall we have a 4 year old Cherub Choir!
All parents and children meet in room 400.
(follow the signs as you pass the choir room)
This choir’s rehearsal time will be 5-5:30 pm

We ask for a $5.00 donation per child to help pay for incidentals.

Enrollment will be held throughout the month of September, but we MUST have registration forms for each participant.

Cherub Choir

Age 4 choir rehearses during the Sunday School hour in the four-year-old class. These children perform quarterly in their classroom for their family and friends.

Joyful Ringers Handbell Group

Rehearsals each Wednesday 4:30 to 5:00 PM – Handbells for 4th thru 6th grades

Joyful Ringers experience a surprise gathering at beginning of each new calendar year, then most of our ringers continue on each week to Tomorrow’s Promise Rehearsal – see details for Tomorrow’s Promise below.

Sonshine Singers

Rehearsals each Wednesday 5:00 to 5:50 PM – Choir for K5, Pre-1st and 1st grade

HIS Kids

Rehearsals each Wednesday 5:00 to 5:50 PM – Choir for 2nd & 3rd grades

Sonshine Singers and HIS Kids sing approximately every other month in morning worship and perform special programs at Christmas and in the Spring. There is fellowship time during each rehearsal, with Christmas and end-of-year parties.

Tomorrow’s Promise

Rehearsals each Wednesday 5:00 to 5:00 PM – 4th thru 6th grades

Tomorrow’s Promise sings in worship approximately every other month and performs special programs at Christmas and in the Spring. There is fellowship time during each rehearsal, with Christmas and end-of-year parties.
