Membership 101

Every other month, we hold a Visiting and New Members Class, called Membership 101 for those interested in knowing more about the church.   This is an informal time for you to meet church staff and learn more about the opportunities for ministry here at SFUMC. Though not "required" for membership, it is offered to you as an opportunity to aid in your decision.  The class offers information on:

  • What it means to be a Christian           
  • What it means to be Methodist  
  • Why Membership Matters 
  • History of Smyrna First United Methodist Church
  • Classes, Programs, Missions and Fellowship Opportunities
